This year’s Arbour Day was held in Fort Langley on April 27. Many families turned out to be welcomed by the Kwantlen nation, plant trees and shrubs around the community garden, climb trees, and listen to the drummers of the Kwantlen and Katzie nations and the Langley Fine Arts School jazz band. Doug McFee, from the Salmon River Enhancement Society, talked to Langley residents about local issues affecting the river and environment. Langley celebrates Arbour Day on the 4th Sunday in April.
